Question 1: Primer - A book that left a lasting impression on you?
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. This is an amazing book that was so incredibly thought provoking! This is a YA American contemporary which focuses on 16 year old Starr who witnesses her friend being shot and murdered by a police officer. It explores such important topics and is a must read!
Question 2: Foundation - Your favourite FIRST book in a series?
Am I Normal Yet by Holly Bourne. This is a British YA contemporary which looks at 16 year old Evie who has OCD and anxiety. She is starting college and wants to be able to just focus on college, friends and getting a boyfriend whilst managing her illnesses. This is full of friendship and feminism and is the first book in the Spinster club trilogy.
Question 3: Concealer - Some characters you wish didn’t exist?
I think all characters should exist as they all bring something to their stories. However, if I had to choose I would choose Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter. Need I say more?
Question 4: Powder - Your favourite last book in a series?
City of Heavenly Fire. I loved the plot of this book and thought it had a great conclusion for the Mortal Instruments series.
Question 5: Eyebrows - a book you think everyone should read?
Harry Potter, obviously :)
Question 6: Eyeshadow - A book with your favourite colours on the cover?
My favourite colours are green, green blue and blue. So it would be a mix of Rebel of the Sands and Fangirl.
Question 7: Eyeliner - A dark and mysterious book?
I don't read many dark and mysterious books but one I have read is The Madman's Daughter.
Question 8: Mascara - A long book?
City of Heavenly Fire, it's just so long!
Question 9: Blush - A book with a cringe-worthy romance?
Twilight. I just could not deal with the cheesiness of it!
Question 10: Highlighter - A book that brightens your day?
What's a Girl Gotta Do by Holly Bourne. This is the third book in the Spinster Club trilogy and follows Lottie who decides to call out every instance of sexism that she sees.
Question 11: Lipstick - Your favourite book kiss?
Ron and Hermione, and Clary and Jace. I just love them!
